Privacy policy

1. Who we are
Rainbow Streets is operated by Daniel, based in Spain ("we", "us"). If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us at info@rainbowstreets.com.
2. What information we collect
We do not have accounts, logins or newsletters, and we do not use analytics or advertising tools. We do not build profiles or try to work out who you are from your visit. The information we do handle comes from:
a) The suggest an update form
If you use the suggest an update form, we receive what you type, the time you sent it and your IP address (to block spam). Your email address is optional and is only used to reply to you. Please do not include health details or other sensitive information about yourself. We keep these messages for up to 12 months, then delete them. We never sell them.
b) Server logs
Like every website, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, browser type) for security and to fix errors. They are deleted automatically.
c) Maps
Pages with a map load map images and the map script from outside providers (OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap and unpkg). When such a page opens, your browser connects to those providers, which can see your IP address, as with any website.
d) Hotel photos
Our hotel pages load hotel photos from Booking.com's image servers. When such a page opens, your browser connects to those servers, which can see your IP address.
3. Cookies
We do not set cookies. See our cookie policy for details.
4. Affiliate links and other sites
Links to venue websites, Instagram, Google Maps and booking sites take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. Our hotel links are affiliate links through Stay22, which passes your click on to a booking site. Both can see your IP address and may record that you came from us. See our affiliate disclosure.
5. Legal basis for processing
We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping listings accurate, answering messages, keeping the site secure and blocking spam, and in showing you the maps that form part of the page you asked for.
6. Who handles the data
Our website and email are provided by our hosting company, which processes this data on our behalf. Some of the map providers named above may process data outside the European Economic Area. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port any personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing.
To exercise any of these rights or ask a question, contact us at info@rainbowstreets.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
