The Lesbian and Gay City Festival, the Stadtfest, is the biggest of its kind in Europe, with around 350,000 visitors. This is its 33rd edition, and it opens Berlin's Pride season one week before the parade.
What happens
The streets around Nollendorfplatz turn into one big party for the weekend, with stages, stalls and bars opening onto the pavement. Entry is free.
Good to know
You are in the middle of gay Schöneberg here, so the bars around it are part of the day. Take the U-Bahn to Nollendorfplatz, and stay for a week if you can: the CSD parade follows the next Saturday.
